BMS System

What is BMS?

BMS (Battery Management System) is an Electronic Control Unit just like in ICE Cars. This system works as a control unit which maintains the stored energy not to be wasted, for the High Voltage Current to be safely performed and ensuring the best performance while driving.

How BMS Works?

The detailed functions of BMS are to collect all the information about Battery cells’ temperature and discharge rates which are located inside the High Voltage Battery and Safety Data from High Voltage Currents to Control Units. Based on that information, some of the control units are controlled by BMS itself to adjust the temperature changes.

Control units which received the information sent by BMS are responsible in supporting the car like when starting the car, stopping the car and even in the emergency stopping of the car, AC charging at home and DC Charging at charging stations.

Why is BMS very important?

  • BMS can prevent from Battery cells from getting hot and catching fire.
  • In the event of unexpected accidents, preventing electrocution in the High Voltage electricity path.
  • In situations where the whole car is submerged, cutting the electric circuit to ensure the safety of the vehicle and all the passengers in the vehicle.
  • BMS is a very important system for electric vehicles due to factors such as being able to control energy during energy storage and consumption situations so that energy is not wasted.
